APA Photography is based in the seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. Anthony first became interested in photography in 1980 when he bought his first 35mm camera; an Olympus Trip, he then upgraded to his first SLR; a Nikon EM. Moving onto a FE2 and FM2 also an F90. At this time all my work was with negative and transparency film, until 2006 and is now working only digital having started back then with Fuji S2 pro & S3 pro bodies.

Current equipment:- Nikon D600 with Vivitar 17mm MF, Nikon 18-35 G, Nikon 24-85mm, Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro,
                                      Nikon 70-300mm af-p fx, Sigma150-600 C + Nikon sb800 speedlight, Manfrotto 055pro tripod.




   1989 - 1991            Anthony studied the BFP - ( Bureau of Freelance Photography ) since completion Anthony has
                                        had several articles and images published.
                        
  1993 - 1995              Official photographer for Clacton Amateur Operatic Society 
                                          this involved shooting portraits of cast, publicity shoot and dress rehearsals.

  1994   -  to April 2018     Became a member of Clacton Colour Slide Club, holding positions of:-Competiton Secretary,
                                       Projectionist also served as a commitee member, during these years winning several cups and 
                                      trophies in the various competitions held.
                                      Club was re-named to " Clacton Projected Images Club " ( CPIC )  - No longer active                

     1997                     Won  " Best of Tendring "  Photographic Competition
                                   ( image of  Thorrington Watermill, which has been used in several brochures on the area )

  2005  -  to Jan 2013     Official photographer for Clacton Amateur Dramatic Society - " CADS "
                                                                        this involves shooting portraits of cast members, publicity shots at HQ or location
                                                     including the dress rehearsal at the Westcliff Theatre.

  2012                        Set up website for " Clacton Projected image Club "  was official webmaster.
                                    As from April 25th 2018 club no longer active.

   2012 
  March to July    -  Produced and launched a set of local postcards, eleven in total all within the Clacton area.

  July  -    Produced and launched a selection of Clacton Fridge Magnets


  
2016
  Nov  -     Produced four designs of  " Clacton Christmas Cards " and now sold over 200 to local outlet
                  plus friends/family.

  2018
​  July  -   Produced a selection of Clacton keyrings, various designs, on sale in " Send a Card " station Rd, Clacton

  Dec -    Quality wildlife canvases can now be ordered through " Send a Card "

  2019
​  Oct  -  Clacton Christmas card order from " Send a card " in Station Rd  ( now 10 designs )

  1990 - to date    -  Recording the changes in Clacton-on-Sea through images taken day and night which
                                                          is simply named  " The Clacton Project " with over 1,000 images + in stock and including 
                                                          all three formats  -  prints, transparencies and now digital files.
